While applications from China grew by 17%,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], India lagged behind with 6% and Indian media is ecstatic about it in New Delhi,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
The Indian media from New Delhi does not understand simple math. They are rejoicing as India lags behind China slowly and steadily in a very important statistic that will determine India's future in Asia.
The admission in the US Engineering schools is important for India and China to take back the US technologies back home. However, India again lagged behind.
Chinese students are more appreciated in American Engineering schools because they do not know proper English. That makes the Chinese student "obey" the mainstream American professors without any question. Indian students do not become slaves so easily to maintain their research or teaching assistantships. American Engineering departments are infested with "Macho" politics where Chinese students are favored over the Indians.
It is a game that the professors play. They use these foreign students to work for less than the minimum wages and produce joint papers for publication. A typical politically active professor in an engineering school has more than thirty papers. Hardly five or so are of his or her original efforts. The rest are from slaving graduate students.
Students from India, along with those from China and South Korea account for the majority, or 53 per cent of all non-US citizen graduate students attending US colleges and universities,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Council said.
Overall, the total number of non-US citizens who applied for admission to master's and doctoral programs at American colleges and universities rose eight per cent between 2006 and 2007.
It is a bonanza for American Engineering professors. Slave laborers are eager to come and join the herd.
